Elective Student

Annapurna Neurological Institute & Allied Sciences is a 100 bedded hospital located in heart of Kathmandu (Maitighar),Nepal. From its establishment we have been receiving International students for their academic exposure here. Till date we have enrolled students from Germany, Japan, China, United Kingdom, USA, India, Nigeria, Switzerland, Belgium and Portugal. We also seek to invite an application to new elective students from other countries too.Following activities are generally done by elective Interns in our Institute.

• Presence in daily morning conference to take part in 24 hours clinical activities as well as surgery case discussion. 
• Actively take part in Outpatient department assessing Neurosurgery, Neurology & Neuropsychiatry cases. 
• Actively Take part in Neuroscience Laboratory including EEG, Video EEG, Nerve Conduction Test (NCT), Cathlab, and other radiological investigations including 3Tesla MRI,CT scan, USG and x-ray. 
• Take part in daily Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and ward rounds with consultant doctors of the Institute. 
• Active involvement  in assessing and observing hospitalized patients. 
• Observe and assist various kinds of surgeries in modular operation theater. 
• Active involvement in patient care in physiotherapy as well as alternate medicine department including acupuncture. 
• Take part in clinical research and academics seminar and workshops.
• Involvement in clinical Laboratory department including hematology, biochemistry , microbiology and histopathology lab with experts.

GENERAL INFORMATION TO THE APPLICANTS

• Working days 6 days a week

• Working hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• You should not be absent from the institute for more than 7 days in a row
